Ohio Reading Corps  AmeriCorps Grant Awarded

Richland County Youth and Family Council will receive $133,000 to support 10 full time AmeriCorps members to participate in the Ohio Reading Corps pilot program. 

 AmeriCorps members serving in programs who successfully complete a term of service will receive an Education Award from the National Service Trust of $5,550 for a year of full-time service, with correspondingly smaller awards for less-than-full-time service.  A member has up to seven years after the term of service has ended to use the award.
